According to Dayaowan MSA in April 2024, lithium battery cargo was often under-declared or misdeclared because the rules are complicated. It responded with a dedicated desk and hotline, priority for EV batteries, and AI-based document comparison intended to reduce container openings, which means any mismatch between the declaration and its supporting papers gets flagged.
What Anxin does: We reconcile the UN number, classification, packing group, quantity and SDS across every document before filing, which is exactly what an automated comparison will test.

Ships of 5,000 GT and above calling at EU ports, Volos included, are in the EU Emissions Trading System: 50% of the emissions of a voyage from China are covered, and the share of emissions for which lines must surrender allowances rises from 70% (for 2025 emissions) to 100% from 2027. Carriers can pass that cost on as a surcharge.

Greece keeps battery producers in EOAN's National Producers Register (EMPA), and registration comes before the first sale. A producer without a Greek establishment appoints a local authorised representative by signed mandate, using the template in the EMPA manual, and then contracts with an approved collective system.
What Anxin does: We ask the Greek consignee who is registered as producer in EMPA before booking.

Battery label from August 2026, QR code from February 2027
The Battery Regulation's general information label applies from 18 August 2026 (or 18 months after the label implementing act, if later), and every battery needs a QR code from 18 February 2027, linked to a battery passport for EV, LMT and industrial batteries above 2 kWh. Where the battery is too small, both go on the packaging and accompanying documents.
What Anxin does: Before booking we ask the Greece importer to confirm the battery category and whether the label and QR-code elements are already on the goods, and compare carton photos with that answer.

The importer's name and address on the battery
The Battery Regulation asks the importer to put its own name, registered trade name or trade mark and postal address, with a single contact point, on the battery. Only when the battery's size or nature makes that impossible may the details move to the packaging or an accompanying document, so a Greece importer's details need to reach the factory before printing.
What Anxin does: We pass the Greece importer's name and address block to the manufacturer before the goods are packed in China and check carton or battery photos for it before loading.
